“The kettle has many uses for making tea, oatmeal, and ramen as a backup food option.”
It’s not just a smart way to travel – it can also make you sick, with travelers often using the kettle for rather disgusting reasons.

But using a kettle to wash underwear is not only disgusting, it can also be dangerous.
Scientists have warned that people who clean their pants in a kettle could be fatal to the next person who uses it.

“These do not cause disease if they are consumed, but their presence in certain environments can encourage them to produce a toxin that can be deadly,” she said.
It’s not just the kettle that flight attendants carry when they travel.
