Drinking a delicious coffee that you don’t have to prepare yourself is a nice treat.
But they can be high in sugar, making them difficult to enjoy, especially if you watch what you eat.
If you’re following a calorie-controlled plan and trying to cut down on the amount of sugar in your diet, these sugary drinks are certainly a no-no.
It was previously established that our tea and coffee habits could pile us up with extra calories.
It has also now been found that some of your favorite iced drinks contain up to 12 teaspoons of sugar.
Researchers found the high-street favorites pack nearly two days’ worth of sugar in a single drink.
However, one coach revealed how you can still get a delicious drink without having to burn calories with your daily coffee.
To TikTok, fitness expert Bec Hardgrave revealed her Starbucks ordering hack that can save you hundreds of calories.
She claims her favorite drink, French Vanilla Cold Brew, is only 70 calories.
She orders a Grande Cold Brew with a dash of hazelnut syrup.
Then Bec adds two pumps of sugar-free vanilla flavoring with a dash of light cream.
That saves around 280 calories compared to a classic brand favorite, the Caramel Frappuccino, which has 370 calories.
Bec also revealed them guilt-free McDonald’s orderto save calories.
She said her trick means you can get a high-protein meal that’s still tasty and scratching your itch for a treat.
The Australian said it was her drive-thru order.
“It gives you a lower calorie, higher protein McMuffin Bacon Egg Burger.
“Add a Bacon and Egg McMuffin to your order, then customize.
“Remove the oil, remove the cheese, add an extra egg, and then some tomato sauce.
“That’s about 300 calories and almost 30 grams of protein,” she explained.
That Australian menu is slightly different in the UK but you can get a similar order from your local branch.
