A home expert revealed on social media that snake plants can actually benefit your health.

To start, she explains how snake plants are known to be the highest oxygen-producing plants according to NASA’s clean air study.
Second, snake plants are one of the few plants that continue to produce oxygen at night, helping to sleep well through the night.
They also remove harmful toxins, which can be found in cleaning supplies. So it makes them great for fighting allergies.
Additionally, she shares how easy they are to care for as they can thrive in any kind of light and don’t require a lot of water.
Ultimately, she recommends these plants because they’re “aesthetically beautiful.”

Some plants to avoid include aloe vera, tulips, lilies, jade plants, cactus, ZZ plants, snake plants, daffodils, spider plants, oleanders, and greenhouses.
Flowercard further explains: “Many common houseplants can be harmful to pets, and while most are not irritating to the stomach, some can be deadly.
“The most poisonous part of the plant is the tuber, and once ingested it can cause symptoms such as vomiting and increased salivation.”
