An MCDONALD’S employee claimed to show how they make drinks look full even when they’re half empty.
In a viral video on TikTok, one user said their manager asked employees to shake their drinks to look fuller.
User @nnennaaaaa6 wrote: “When your manager says shake it to make the drink look plump.”
The worker then shakes the drink so that it appears to cover the walls of the cup.
“Especially when it’s busy,” she captioned the video.
With more than 4.4 million views, the video has sparked outrage.
“I pay 5-6 dollars for a drink from McDonald’s, better eat full,” one person said in the comments.
“If you do that to me, you’re out,” said another.
“I do not understand [why] you be so stingy… it doesn’t even come from your paycheck… I worked to pay you…” a third person wrote.
Many people question why the craftsman cannot fill the cup all the way.
“You all spend the same amount of time shaking it as it would take you to fill it,” another asserted.
“Isn’t this a greater waste of time?” another asked.

However, one user aims to answer another’s question. “It’s an automatic machine. We can’t control that it doesn’t fill all the way, they claim.
Some people said they will now start checking how full their drinks are as a result of TikTok.
“I will start testing now, thank you,” said one user.
“[You’re] would give people trust issues now they check EVERY drink,” another said.
For others, the video spurred discussion of fast-food workers’ expectations.
“This is why people have no respect for fast food people :(,” said one user.
In another video, also posted by the same user, she shows what workers do when a customer asks for their drink to be full.
And she drank a glass of ice that was half full and filled it to the top, where there was only more ice.
It comes as CCTV shows a Florida woman screaming at a McDonald’s employee – and police now say they want to arrest her.
Angry customer throws her food through the drive-through window after her coupon is declined.
The Miramar Police Department is offering a reward to anyone with information so they can arrest her for the battery.
