Mom came up with an ingenious way to keep your kids from getting sticky in the summer

You know you’ve been through this before — you gave your kid a popsicle to eat, and a few seconds later the regret sets in because all you can see is a messy dribble all over the chin. yuck

A busy mother of four found herself in the same sticky situation, so she decided to get inventive and find a practical way to make it stop for good—to banish all stickiness.

TInfluencer Shannon Doherty, who has over a million followers with her TikTok account @athomewithshannon posted a video explaining how a simple cupcake case is a perfect solution.

Cupcake liners, which can be bought in a pack for £1, making them about a penny each, can be slid up the stick in pairs.

This way they can easily catch drips before they start soiling your child’s clothes and getting all over their body.

Showing her daughter how to nibble on a popsicle on a glorious day at the beach, Shannon explained that the cupcake liners make easy “No Drip Pops” for the whole family – even for grown-ups who don’t want to mess up.

But these aren’t just the 1p items, they can also be used to create a shield for drinks.

‘Why?’ you ask. Of course, to prevent insects from entering them.

No one wants to consume creepy crawlies, and since they’re in abundance during the summer months, that’s another good tip.

Simply slide a straw through the bottom of the case to create a paper lid for each glass you drink from.

Another way to use the cupcake liners is to use them as small snack holders for the backyard or the beach.

All you have to do is fill the box with your child’s favorite candy or savory treat and spread them out on a portable little tray – who knew cupcake liners could have so many other uses?!

It also means your child’s snacks are portioned out rather than giving them the whole bag of candy, making them way too hyper for their own good.

The three simple but effective ways to use the 1p product resonated with Shannon’s followers.

People labeled the hacks as “so clever,” “awesome,” and “so smart.”

One wrote, “Who knew these were so versatile.” As a second said, “Drink cover is awesome!”
