Kayleen Kelly, a self-proclaimed professional organizer, shared a video on Tiktok to show her 280,000 followers how to pack for vacation.

She went through her house room by room, collecting the items she wanted to take with her on her week-long tour of Europe.

Her first stop was the bathroom and she advised viewers to minimize the amount of toiletries they take with them as they are bulky and can take up a lot of space.

She also warned against going through the trouble of packing something expensive in case airport security throws it away.

Woman reveals
According to one travel expert, the only mistake vacationers make when packing

She said, “I’m really cutting back on my makeup and skincare routines and sticking to the basics — I’m definitely following TSA guidelines, and a lot of other countries tend to be stricter, so I never take expensive products.”

After going through the kitchen and living room, she came into the bedroom to pack away all her clothes.

She advised travelers to wear their thickest clothes on the plane and then use a combination of rolling and folding clothes to squeeze as many as you can into a suitcase.

She said: “To save space, I wear as many layers as possible on the plane.

“I use my space as best I can by rolling and folding the items – it’s like a Tetris puzzle.”

She then packed all of her clothing into compression-pack cubes, which she described as a “game changer,” and advised travelers to do the same.

She said: “The key player is the compression pack cubes, they are a game changer. They really keep everything organized on the trip which I love.”

Then she placed the packing cubes on one side of the suitcase and her toiletries, snacks, and shoes on the other, and she was good to go.

The video was viewed 340,000 times and people were big supporters of the packing cubes.

One person wrote, “Packing cubes have absolutely changed my game,” and another wrote, “Love love love my packing cubes – everyone in the family is their own color.”

Someone else put it simply: “Packing cubes are life changing.”
