Having a newborn baby can create a lot of anxiety.
Parents are often stressed about whether their child is growing up healthy.
A pediatrician who goes online @Dr_Rossome, reveal common questions he gets from new parents—and a lot of their concerns are really signs of a normal child.
In TikTok, he begins: “Strange things babies do.”
Number one is “passing the eye.” It is very normal for a newborn’s eyes to wander during the first few months of life. After a while, they were frank with each other.
Second: “Hiccups a lot.” While the cause is completely unknown – it could be the result of a baby swallowing air or eating too much – it is completely normal.
The third weirdest thing a child can do is shake his jaw. This is because a child’s muscles get tired after drinking milk, and it can happen.
Number four: “Startle reflex”. Most babies startle after a sudden movement or a loud noise.
And finally: All those sneezing and stuffy noses shouldn’t be a source of stress for parents, as this is completely normal.
Sneezing is a protective gesture that helps children get rid of nasty particles in their nasal passages — it’s really a sign that a child’s reflexes and senses are working properly.
Viewers flooded the comments section with expressions of relief:
“My baby sneezes EVERY TIME. Really worried because she is allergic to our dog,” one mother wrote.
“Oh, thank goodness! The ambiguity freaks me out,” said a second.
Others have added their own observations of babies:
“I never knew babies fart like grown men until I had a kid,” quipped one viewer.
“They poured!” added another one.
