I’m a pilot and this is what I do before every flight to prepare for the worst

Being involved in an airline disaster is most passengers’ worst nightmare.
So it’s comforting to know that pilots already have a plan in place to avoid the worst.
Pilot Harrison Murray shared a video on Tiktok explaining what he does before each flight to prepare for the worst.
He answers the question: “So, as a pilot, you are always looking for the safest places along the route for the worst-case scenario?”
He said: “That’s right. So we took the documents sent to us about three hours before departure.”
“I will review the route, select some suitable airports along the route, we will check the weather and ‘signs’ – notify the airline staff.
“That would tell us things like runways are closed, certain equipment is down, that sort of thing.
“We will mentally plan. During the cruise, we continuously check the weather every 30 to 60 minutes and update the plan.”
The video has been viewed 73,000 times, and viewers are grateful to know what will happen if something goes wrong.
However, another Tiktok user revealed that if something bad happens during the flight – the traveler might not even realize it.
She explained about it Pilots can hardly tell passengers if they are about to be involved in a plane crash.
“If you’re in a plane crash, you won’t be notified,” she said.
“Unless the pilot does a controlled landing, they probably won’t have time to tell you you’re dying … and that’s probably for the best.”
Harrison also explained How long can a human survive if the window is smashed in flight.
This is safest seat to sit in a plane crash and there’s even a safe reason why you should never wear a pair of leggings on a flight.
