I’m a sleep expert, and here are my top four ways to close your eyes during a flight

A SLEEP expert shared important tips on how to get forty winks while flying.
While some people can fall asleep right away, others need this advice.
dr Michael Breus, also known as “The Sleep Doctor,” spoke at a recent event in honor of National Sleep Month.
He said he always takes his own stuff to help him sleep as he “doesn’t trust” airlines to have useful items.
He suggested always taking a sleep kit with you on flights, which includes things like an eye mask, noise-cancelling earplugs and blue-light-blocking glasses.
Where you sit on the plane can also make a big difference in falling asleep during the journey.

dr Breus recommended using a Sites like SeatGuru to check airplane seat reviews and find your ideal seat.
he explained forbes: “If you enter your flight number, a schematic of the fuselage will appear and it will show you where the best places to sleep are. It is great.”
A basic rule of thumb if you want to sleep on a flight is to choose the window seat so you have something to rest your head on and you won’t be disturbed if passengers next to you need to use the bathroom.
The self-proclaimed sleep physician also suggests adjusting your pre-flight schedule to match your travel destination’s time zone.
This helps reduce the effects of jet lag, but also increases the likelihood that your body will fall asleep during the flight.
He recommended the app Time shift, to help you create a personalized jet lag plan for your flight.
The doctor’s final advice was not to worry if sleep doesn’t come easily.
He adds that it’s only natural for your internal clock and sleep pattern to be out of sync when crossing time zones, but stress or anxiety about it likely only makes it worse.
He explained: “The less concerned you are with the idea of getting out of routine or out of your own bed or out late at night, the better off you’ll be at creating the semblance of a good night’s sleep while.” They’re on their way.”
A flight attendant recently revealed how passengers can save money on flights by freezing items before packing.
And a travel packing expert has explained the magic ratio to maximize your luggage Place.
