Did you know that you have more than one Gmail address – in fact you have an unlimited number, all secretly attached to your existing email.
tech freak Matty McTech revealed the special hack that most people probably didn’t know existed.
And it could be a great way to find out exactly who is selling your data.
All you have to do is add a + symbol after your existing one E-mail Username followed by any word.
Then write the usual @gmail.com at the end.
For example, if your email address is: firstname.lastname@example.org.
You could create email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org and pretty much anything.
Regardless of what you add, it all goes straight to your main Gmail inbox.
Why is this a smart idea?
Well, if you’re suspicious that your personal information is being sold or used, this could be a great way to track them down.
So the next time you log into a website or service, add their name after the + sign.
Then, if you suddenly start receiving spam emails, you know who the source is.
“Just add their name to the end of your email address,” he said.
“If you now receive spam emails to this address, you know that this website has sold your data.”
