I’m an AI expert – there are ways to prevent artificial intelligence from stealing your job, but you have to work harder

ARTIFICIALLY intelligent chatbot ChatGPT is making some people fear for their jobs due to its impressive capabilities.
However, AI expert and Senior Research Analyst at IDC Jack Vernon exclusively told The US Sun that there are ways you could stop AI from taking over your job, it just might take more work.
Vernon told us, “It’s hard because people only have the choices that are available to them.
“I think people can help themselves by being as open to new technologies as possible and trying them out and, if they’re ready, taking a coding class.
“I don’t think it’s all as scary as it’s made out to be. Tools are a lot friendlier these days than they used to be.”
The AI expert believes that many jobs will be related to AI in the future.
However, he admits that the technology could make some jobs redundant.
Vernon told The US Sun: “Maybe you can get rid of some junior jobs.
“I think things like a paralegal aren’t going to exist in the next 10 to 15 years.
“When you can find relevant cases from the past much more easily with really effective search algorithms like ChatGPT, the need for them decreases.”
He stressed that “higher quality” jobs could become more desirable for humans because AI can’t do certain things.
Vernon explained, “Higher-value activities will become even more important as ChatGPT and the like are trained based on available data.
“So people who are really creating new content and analytics essentially can’t do that.”
Vernon compared the AI takeover to when cars replaced horses.
He explained: “We have gone through major changes in the labor market before.
“Like the transition from horses to cars. If you look at it now, the automotive industry ended up employing millions more people than horses ever did.
“It might be easy to believe now that ChatGPT is taking away some jobs, but potentially it will lead to many more jobs. Something like that is hard to see.
“Jobs could be lost in the short term. That could make a lot easier for a lot of people.”
