Are you ALWAYS getting spam iPhone SMS? There is a simple solution that can save you a lot of time.
A clever trick is built right into iMessage to solve your problems.
The hack was recently revealed by TikTok Gadget Whiz @mannytechlife.
Tech pro Manny said iPhone owners “need to know the clever hack” — and he’s not wrong.
If you are a regular iPhone user, you will probably find that your Messages app is slightly congested.
It often fills up with spam texts or verification code messages.
These texts can sometimes make it difficult to find important conversations.
Luckily there is Apple Function that allows you to filter out texts from unknown senders.
It doesn’t block them (so you still get them), but it does make your iPhone inbox a lot tidier.
First, make sure your iPhone is updated to the latest iOS software.
Go to Settings > General > Software update to check.
Then open Settings again and then select Messages.
Scroll down and enable Filter unknown senders under Message filtering.
That’s three taps: Settings > Messages > Filter unknown senders ON.
So how do you activate the filters?
Go to the Messages app and select Filters in the top left corner.
Then you will see your messages are split.
You have filters for all messages, known senders and unknown senders.
So if you want the tidiest inbox, it’s probably best to leave messages filtered by known senders.
That’s not all
There are many awesome iMessage hacks that you should know.
For example, you can reply to each individual message with an emoji.
Just go to the selector and drag the emoji onto the text you want to reply to.
This works with Apple’s custom Memoji that look like you – and add extra character to your replies.
You can also unlock a hidden message menu that allows you to send text effects.
Just type a message and then press and hold the send button.
This brings up a special menu where you can animate the message.
But that’s not all.
You can also launch full screen effects for the recipient from this secret menu.
Go in and then select Screen at the top and you can flood the other person’s screen with emoji of your choice.
And here’s another trick for iMessage fans.
All you have to do is open a chat and then type “pew pew”.
You will notice that the screen is filled with lasers – both for you and for the recipient.
There are some other codes you can try as well.
It rains confetti while sending the message “Congratulations”.
And the same works if you write “Congratulations” in another language as well.
When you type “Happy Birthday”, balloons will float across the screen.
And then there’s “Happy Chinese New Year,” unleashing virtual fireworks on iMessage.
Remember: none of these effects will appear unless the recipient also has an iPhone.
And these effects are limited to iMessage only — so they don’t work on WhatsApp, Signal, or Facebook Messenger.
