IF you’ve recently erased a bunch of bits from your iPhone to speed things up, you may have missed an important step.
One way to give your phone a boost is to delete old photos and videos.
But did you realize that they won’t go away immediately?
As a TikToker Scott Polderman As it turned out, some people are unaware that the files you deleted are still there on your iPhone for a little longer.
So if you’re looking for a quick speed boost, you need to empty the hidden trash.
Or as Apple calls it, it’s the Recently Deleted folder.
The photos and videos contained here are usually automatically deleted after a certain period of time.
But they stick around for a while in case you make a mistake or change your mind.
To find it, just open the Photos app.
Make sure you open the Albums main page.
Most Read in Phones & Gizmos
And there you will see the Recently Deleted folder.
To remove them all now, tap Select.
Then click Delete All.
Your iPhone will ask you for confirmation one last time, so be absolutely sure – because after that you won’t be able to restore it.
