If I hadn’t written to you for help, I’m not sure I would still be here now.

To the outside world, I am a brave widow, smiling and working OK. But inside, I’m dying.

I spent half a day crying, bingeing on junk food and talking to him as if he was still there.

I put on his clothes, wrapped myself in his overalls to remember his scent, even wearing his tights and pantyhose.

It was unfair to lose him unannounced, widowed at the age of 47.
