Important Sky TV remote control hack you need to know before things go wrong

THE last thing you need is for your remote to stop working just before your favorite show starts.

But like any technology, it can happen.

And as good as Sky’s TV remote controls are, they’re not immune to that either.

Fortunately, most problems are easy to solve yourself.

And there are special buttons you can press to hopefully reset things.

The most obvious test to start with is changing the batteries. If your remote still doesn’t respond, try the tips below.

If it’s a pairing issue, there’s a clever way to reconnect the remote to your Sky Glass or Sky Stream.

All you have to do is hold down the 7 and 9 buttons simultaneously for three seconds.

Then do the same with buttons 1 and 3 – remember, it has to be at the same time and for three seconds.

Now wait if a connected message appears on your screen.

If yes, then you are ready to go again.

If it doesn’t work, try the steps three more times.

Once you’ve exhausted that option, the last thing you have to try is simply turning the main box off and on again.

If you’re still having no luck, there may be something wrong with your remote control.

If that’s the case, you’ll need to speak to Sky – and it may be time to arrange a replacement.
