Nissan has recalled over 200,000 pickups over a faulty transmission problem that could cause the vehicles to roll even when parked.
The recall affects certain 2020-2023 Nissan Titan and Frontier pickups with nine-speed transmissions.
According to the recall notice, affected trucks have a transmission park latch that may not engage when the vehicle is in park, which could cause it to roll and increase the risk of an accident.
Nissan said a cure for the problem is in development. In the meantime, the company is advising affected truck owners to apply the parking brake whenever they park their vehicle.
Questions about the recall may be directed to Nissan Customer Service at 1-800-867-7669.
Recall notices are expected to be sent out on November 1st.
The automaker is not aware of any incidents related to the recall.
