In Apple founder Steve Jobs’ emotional email to himself before his death

APPLE founder Steve Jobs wrote himself an emotional, poetic email as he died of cancer, recent archive footage reveals.

The late iPhone pioneer opens up about feeling “helpless” a little over a year before his death.

The email is dated September 2, 2010.

Jobs tragically died of pancreatic cancer on October 5, 2011 at the age of 56.

He opens the email and says, “I grow little of the food I eat and the little I grow

“I did not breed or perfect the seeds.

“I don’t make any of my own clothes.

“I speak a language that I did not invent or refine.

“I didn’t discover the math I use.”

The special message was released earlier this year by his widow, Laurene Powell Jobs.

It is the first page of a Steve Jobs archive website dedicated to his legacy.

Powell Jobs said at a September presentation that the archive is “rooted in Steve’s long-held notion that once you understand that outside of the natural world, everything in the built environment and all the systems that define our lives on the planet are built and designed by other people.

“Once you have this insight, you understand that as a human being you can change it, initiate it, maybe question it and expand it.

“This is how human progress happens.”
