In The Style announces partnership with Dame Deborah James and The BowelBabe Fund

The fashion retailer has amazingly raised over £250,000 in less than 24 hours

Last night (May 19) fashion retailer In the style proudly announced that they would enter into a partnership Mrs Deborah James and The Bowel Babe Fund.

Like many people across the country, In The Style has followed Dame Deborah’s journey over the past few years as she bravely battled colon cancer.

In The Style, Dame has followed Deborah’s ups and downs, seen her in and out of the hospital and most importantly seen her positivity and wants to inspire so many others with something she calls ‘Rebellious Hope’.

The first aspect of the partnership is Dame Deborah’s ‘Rebellious Hope’ t-shirt, which retails for £15 with 100% of profits from the sale of each t-shirt going directly to The BowelBabe Fund.

In less than a week, The BowelBabe Fund has already surpassed a staggering £6,000,000 in donations.

The BowelBabe Fund for Cancer Research UK was set up by Dame Deborah and her family to fund clinical trials and research into new treatments for cancer patients while raising awareness of bowel cancer.

After launching the t-shirt, Dame Deborah spent several months working on her own collection, which perfectly captures the British summer staples.

Think of outfits perfect for Wimbledon, The Races, garden parties and Pimms in the Park: all activities Dame Deborah has enjoyed for years.

The brand follows Deborah’s desire to continue the range that will soon be launched, with profits going to Deborah’s chosen charity.

Speaking of working with In The Style, Dame Deborah said: “The reason I wanted to do this collection with In The Style is because for me it was something completely different than cancer. I love fashion and anyone who knows me or has followed me for years knows that I love my dresses and am always looking for the best prints.

Little did I realize when we started working on this collection that I would be living a hybrid life between home and hospital, and even outside of the hospital we have made this possible.

It was a project I really enjoyed and most importantly it gave me something different to think about. I really hope you love it as much as I loved designing it. I hope it brings you joy and makes you feel great when you put it on.”
