FREQUENT FLYERS will know that going to the bathroom on an airplane is not a pleasant experience.
Cramped space, dingy lighting, and the world’s noisiest flush don’t make detaching a pleasant task.
But one Reddit user revealed that they caught a flight with the world’s best economy airplane lavatory thanks to an amazing feature.
The user walking by u/drewsoulman shared a photo of the airplane lavatory with a window inside – a feature unknown in most airplane lavatories – on the community sharing platform.
On top of that, the bathroom even had a shelf behind the toilet – perfect for storing a phone or wallet.
The post garnered more than 116,000 votes and 2,600 comments, and most viewers were amazed by the bathroom.
One person wrote: “I wouldn’t go. Better than an economy seat.”
Another said: “Probably more space than a bus seat. Might as well stay there for a while until they get suspicious.”
A third wrote: “Airplane lavatories are always so cramped and drab – that’s nice.”
Someone else said they thought a window would help them overcome one of their fears.
They wrote: “Wish this was more common. I have an irrational fear of airplane toilets. I like looking out the window on airplanes as it makes me feel more grounded. I feel like this would help my anxiety.”
A former flight attendant has now revealed it best time for a little bit on an airplane.
Mark Benders explained that passengers should go to the toilet about half an hour before landing as it is close to the seat belt sign before descent.
He said: “When you’re on a flight and you feel like you’re approaching your destination, the first time you feel the plane decelerate from cruising speed, you have about half an hour to land.
“That would be a good time to use the restroom because of Lent seat belt light will continue soon and you are not allowed to leave your seat until the plane reaches the gate.
“You never know if there will be a delay in landing or arriving at the gate.”
