Indie MMO Spotlight: No joke, we love our indie MMOs!

Each week we scour the web for all things indie MMO related so you don’t have to. This week we’ve done our best to filter out all April Fool’s Day articles and bring you only the real news. And with all the alpha and beta tests either currently running or imminent, there’s a lot to report. So let’s not waste any more time and get started with this week’s indie MMO spotlight.

BitCraft

Part 2 of the Ancient Journals series was released this week. Entry from last week was a page from an adventurer’s journal. This week’s entryHymn to the Gieft, appears to be a religious hymn about receiving the Radiant Gieft.

broken ranks

If you haven’t already, now is the perfect time to join the guild broken ranks thanks to the new one Q1 update. The update adds several new features, including Guild Land where players can construct multiple buildings, new quests, and new accessories for female avatars, to name a few. The cycle: limit

There are still two weeks left in the current Closed Beta 2 and Yager posted a new patch this week to fix more bugs reported by Prospectors. They also took advantage of the April Fool’s joke to post a tweet about some upcoming changes to Jeff the Marauder. Unlike many fake news articles published on the 1st which were obvious tricks, the tweet actually pulled you in before it slapped you in the face with humor.

dual universe

The Athena Update went live on the Public Test Server this week. The update is mostly focused on PvP upgrades and you can read all about it in a recent one developer blog.

Elethor

Elethor got a new patch this week. The patch, v26, added datachips to the game along with new corp buffs and altered companion abilities. You can Read the full patch notes on the Eethor website.

Ember Sword

Just a reminder to all the landowners and badge bearers who Ember Sword The pre-alpha tech test begins Monday, April 4th at 6am. Those of you who haven’t committed Ember Sword but can go to Ember Sword Twitch Channel when the test begins to get an idea of ​​what the game has to offer.

We are still in the early days of War 90 on the LIVE 1 server which launched on March 29th. You can check the start conditions here.

broken online

In front Broken Onlines Closed Beta, which begins Wednesday April 6th, Dynamite Studios posted a video this week featuring CEO Jacopo Pietro Gallelli. In the video he answers the question: what is Broken On-line? There will also be a live stream from the Council of Elysium on Tuesday, April 5th at 3pm ET. Gloria Victis

The awaited guild update has finally found its way Gloria Victis with Weekly update 313. The update also includes a new livestock roadmap, a new armor skin, and a variety of QoL updates and general fixes. The team also announced a switch to their weekly screenshot contest. The contest now accepts both GIFs and screenshots, and a separate category has been added for movies. So start making this content to start earning some Amber!

Ilysia

Although the start date for Ilysias Beta 1 is still TBD, you can now purchase access keys on the MagePortal shop. The key costs $9.99 and grants access to the beta on Quest or PCVR. The details state that the purchase does not include a digital copy of ilysia, so it looks like you’re just buying access to the beta.

Margonem

Margonem got a new update this week. The update includes some map updates, new elite monsters, and two new quests. You can read the full patch notes here.

Mist Legacy

A new patch (v 0.1.15.0) this week added the mastery system Mist Legacy. Among other changes, the new system will have higher skill caps. You can read the patch notes here.

Monsters & Memories

In your Monthly developer blogthe M&M Team details all the progress they made in March. This update was less wordy and loaded with graphics, so be sure to check it out.

Palia

Palias The first alpha test ended this week. As soon as we hear anything from the developers about how the test went or when we can expect more testing, we’ll be sure to let you know.

Wealthy Universe

It’s all about Steam in PU Development Log #328. A new patch, 2022.02, was also released this week, adding several new features to the game. You can read the patch notes here.

Realm of the mad god

the RotMG The website is currently down for maintenance so I can’t keep you posted on the blog. I know that Elemental Easter event is ongoing and I found a calendar for it on Discord. At least one E3 wasn’t canceled this year.

This week the scars of honor Team looked at the Warrior in his weekly class discussion. It’s still time to hit the forums and add your 2 cents for arguably the best class of any MMO. the SoH Pre-Alpha Test 2 is now over and an aftermovie was released this week to highlight some of the action.

Screams

the Shouts: Arena Early Access on Steam is finally here. Anyone with an activation key will be able to download the game starting Thursday April 7th.

The Game Changers is a new video series from Unity that showcases developer studios using their game engine to create their game. The debut video in the series features showcases zenith Developer RamenVR.
