Welcome back to another weekly recap of Indie MMO news. Along with a PR push for two major releases next week (Zenith: The Last City and Ranking is broken), there are several Q&A posts interspersed with the usual patch notes and test play announcements.
While IMS is always scouring the internet for anything related to indie MMOs, I wanted to highlight one particular article before moving on to the rest of the news. This week, MMORPG’s Steven Weber shared his top indie MMO picks in “5 Indie MMOs you should try in 2022“. Be sure to read it after you complete this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.

Ranking is broken
A post on Ranking is broken the site has launched a Quick introduction to the combat system Used in Rating is broken. Combat can be turn-based, but with each round lasting only 10 seconds, your enemies won’t hesitate to smash your skull whether you’re ready or not.
For those who can’t wait for the January 25 launch of Rating is broken, at least you can Preload the client now.
It’s been a busy week for Chimeraland Developer, Proxima Beta. Not only did they increase their server capacity on Wednesdays, but they also added The big horse has evolved the Dragon Horsebegin Fire God Awakening Event (extended until February 4th) and posted an answer to the AMA recently.

Last week, Novaquark announced the addition of Panacea to DU route. They followed up that announcement this week by shedding light on the expected changes with several blog posts. There’s a bit of a mess in Foxhole This week when a group of players called the Joint Logistics Improvement Organization (LOGI) went on strike after a request from the developer of Siege Camp to make some changes to the logistics gameplay went unanswered. Margonem received a small patch this week. Follow Steam patch notes, the patch is mainly just to fix some bugs. The notes mentioned that the Winter opponents will be leaving the world of Margonem for a week, so you only have a few days left to claim the unique rewards they drop.
Mist . Heritage
Version 0.1.1.1 (see patch notes here) went live this week. Players can now reach the next level of fame in Thorval, giving them a chance to battle pirates. Collect also gets some QoL updates that make resource gathering easier (and harder in some ways).

Zenith: The Last City
With the launch date fast approaching, there are some getting started guides popping up for Zenith: The Last City. On Friday, RamenVR starts a Zenith Launch of the series Countdown on YouTube channel MMO Zenith will be sharing tips each day until launch, starting with a video on how to uncover the lore and mysteries of Zenith’s past through the Touch Stones. PSVR Underground also shared a video that includes some other tips and tricks to get you started when Zenith released on Thursday.
