Ingrooves has just received a patent for a new music marketing technology that says it “runs streams at nearly twice the speed of traditional methods.”

Two years ago, Ingrooves Music Group received a patent for an impressive AI-driven music marketing technology.

Since then, the Universal Music Group-owned company has been working behind the scenes to further develop its marketing technology and has just received another US patent (which you can see in full here).

Ingrooves’ new patented technology powers its proprietary Smart Audience advertising solution, which is able to identify “high quality” streaming audiences for an artist/label based on users’ listening behavior.

Ingrooves claims that campaigns generated by Smart Audience result in almost twice the increase in streams compared to traditional methods, which Ingrooves says “typically rely on identifying fans through social media behavior.”

The company says the new technology does not rely in any way on personally identifiable information and ensures compliance with privacy regulations around the world – including GDPR and CCPA requirements.

Ingrooves’ latest patent was granted for the invention of artificial intelligence (AI) to identify high-value audiences for marketing campaigns.

The patent builds on Ingrooves’ previous work analyzing listening behavior, and the company says it “represents an improvement [our] Ability to discover and deliver high quality streaming audiences”.

As a result of its new technology, Ingrooves claims audiences are more likely to stream a given artist’s music, with deeper engagement and greater potential to become long-term fans.

Ingrooves recently conducted a case study comparing a title’s Smart Audience powered digital marketing (Rest) for artist Boy Pablo, with a “control” setup where the storyline was marketed online using more traditional techniques.
