Inside Glastonbury’s lavish VIP areas

Glastonbury’s hotel zones aren’t open to everyone meaning celebrities can unwind from its denseness and really relax.

Away from the hustle and bustle, hidden among the food and drink stalls is the entrance to luxurious VIP areas.

If you are lucky enough to own a hospitable bracelet that you are using to entertain.

There are secret areas for most of the main levels including Pyramids, Parks and other Stages.

Secret passages will take you easily from performance to performance between the two main stages. The path to the Other stage also comes to you right next to the action, which means you could end up with some celebrity guests.

The facilities are star quality, with clean toilets, separate sink areas and more bars and eateries with plenty of seating around to rest your aching feet before heading back act.

The tents have lights outside to indicate they are free to avoid any awkward encounters. The cleaners are also on hand to make sure they deserve to be the bottom of the A-list!

Lots of celebrities see John Bishop, Stella McCartney, Sienna Miller and even Emmerdale star Jeff Hordley, who plays Cain Dingle, walking among the VIP crowds.

However, if you really want to do some celebration then William’s Wood, located between the Pyramid and another stage walkway, is the place to be. Initially the area was closed so only stars could enter but the gates were opened for everyone with a hospitable band so now they too can come and mingle!

Inside the small, hidden area is the first Pony Bistro in Glastonbury, owned by Michelin-starred chef Josh Eggleton.

With table service and pricey menus – food ranges from £18 to £34 each – it’s no wonder the secret location has become a magnet for stars including Mel C, Gemma Collins and Niall Horan. The restaurant accepts walk-in guests, but reservations are recommended.

Posted just behind William’s Wood is a set of caravans concealed by covered gates. It is said that famous guests spent £15,000 to stay in the exclusive area for the weekend.

Meanwhile, the VIP section of the Park stage, Land’s End, is more modest with a quaint bar and outdoor seating. The shacks aren’t quite as extravagant as the rooms behind the main stage area, as they’re around the rest of the campus with iron walls and doors for privacy – but no ceilings so Light rain can prove difficult.

However, this is believed to be where Noel Gallagher is planning his after-party on Saturday night. Performances and behind-the-scenes productions are easy to spot in the Park VIP area as you have to walk across the side of the stage to get to the bar.

There are a few large teepees set up behind this area to provide extra privacy for those looking for a quick nap.

A hospitable band is a must if you can land yourself!
