There was chaos today when ITV stopped broadcasting This Morning and Loose Women due to bomb threats.

The Metropolitan Police responded to a nearby incident, when they closed Wood Lane and White City subway stations while dealing with a security incident. It has been resolved and investigations are still ongoing.

The nearby area was evacuated as police handled the incident, with This Morning hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby appearing on a pre-recorded show where they tried hugging trees and talking to Britain’s dullest men.

Loose Women also aired a pre-recorded episode, which featured some of the show’s biggest stars including Denise Welch, Nadia Sawalha, Linda Robson and Stacey Solomon discussing their lives before when they’re on ITV shows.

The Metropolitan Police released a statement after the security incident was resolved.

A police spokesman said in a statement: “At 11:14pm, Thursday, March 10, police were called to a report of a security alert at Wood Lane, White City.” was evacuated as a precaution and the White City and Wood Lane subway stations were temporarily closed.

“The incident was extinguished shortly before 12:49. An investigation is underway.”

This Morning and Loose Women both made a brief announcement on social media when the pre-recorded shows were broadcast.
