Inside New Life In The Country, star Sarah Beeny’s massive Somerset mansion with zip line, medieval themed bedroom and lake

TWO and a half years after Sarah Beeny traded London for a former dairy farm, the real estate expert shot a camera at her own home.
The TV star and husband Graham are transforming their Somerset mansion in the second series of New Life in the Country.
The stately home, set on a 223-acre farmhouse, is gaining traction – although there’s only one bathroom in the old estate for now.
And the couple’s sons, Charlie, Rafferty and Billy, have been busy tiling their new bedroom.
The latest episode of the family’s Channel 4 show saw the boys helping with the remodel, revealing their “Gentlemen’s Club” and “Medieval” themed rooms. .
Rafferty told viewers on Channel 4 series: “Gentlemen’s bathroom is what I’m aiming for.”
Meanwhile, Sarah and Graham have installed an outdoor shower, allowing the whole family to shower after swimming in their garden’s giant pool – there’s a tow cable.
Speaking of the challenging project, Graham said: “Every morning when I look at all these trucks, I feel ‘each of these trucks is a day’s slot, a person, and the money will come out. Go’.
“So while we’re making rapid progress, it’s pretty expensive, almost best not to think about it.”
Some fans have called the show “tasteless” for its over-reform during a global pandemic.
One viewer even said the renovation of her £500,000 home was a “monster of the middle class”.
In the episode that opened last month, Graham and the couple’s four sons helped builders by planting 20,000 trees in the estate’s surrounding farmland and building a bee farm.
One confused viewer tweeted: “I have nothing against Sarah Beeny and her family, I’m sure they’re adorable, but do we really need another show that showcases the decadent lifestyles of these people? rich when so many people struggle to make ends meet with no fuel costs, uncertain jobs, etc?”
The objections don’t stop there.
The oasis they are building will have five bedrooms and five bathrooms and will also feature prosthetic busts with their heads.
When talking about using 3-D printers to produce busts, Graham said: “Hopefully we’ll look classy enough!”
