But it turns out some people love them so much they want their final trip to be in a Tesla too.
Dutch company Derks Uitvaartmobiliteit are here to help with a Tesla Model 3 conversion.
He calls it the Tesla Hearse 3 and advertises it on his website for 112,950 euros.

It takes a standard Model 3 and stretches it to 5.5 meters in length, then removes the rear seats and builds a cabin for the coffin.
This aft cabin is lighted and can even be outfitted with a twinkling starlight ceiling.
Huge glass windows on the flanks of the Model 3 reveal the luxurious interior.
More glass was used in the partition between the driver’s cabin and the rear cabin.
The standard Model 3 has back doors, but these were changed during the hearse rebuild.
The lower halves of the doors remain and become “secret” hatches, revealing practical storage spaces.
Derks also offers power curtains for side and rear windows for privacy and a scissor cart storage compartment.
The extra weight and aerodynamic effects drop the Model 3’s electric range to around 230 miles, although that’s still pretty good when you consider it.
Up front, you get the same minimalist interior of Model 3 with a high-tech, landscape-mode touchscreen infotainment system.
