Inventor creates £12,000 camping tricycle that can cross water and land

INVENTOR Aigars Lauzis sets sail in his amphibious camping bike, which can cross water and land.
The £12,000 convertible, called the Z-Triton 2.0, can carry two people and travel at up to 15 mph.
It has two electric motors, is powered by a lithium-ion battery pack and integrated rooftop solar panels, and has a “positive CO2 footprint”.
Some parts are 3D printed in large format using bioplastics.
Latvian designer Aigars came up with it after cycling around the world.
“The body is made of organic fiberglass with polyester from recycled PET bottles,” he said.
It will go on sale later this year.
A Zeltini spokesman added that the vehicle ‘aims to be the most sustainable RV on the market.’
