Inventors’ dispute about alleged patent infringement settled after talks

A High Court dispute over alleged infringement of an inventor’s patent for an attachment used to load and cut large bales of plastic-wrapped feed for livestock has been settled after arbitration.

Earlier this year, Peter Cunnane and his company, Cashels Engineering Ltd of Aghamore, Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo, brought suit against ProDig Attachments Ltd of Newtown, Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow for infringement of Mr Cunnane’s patent on his device, which is fitted to tractors or excavators to make the animal feeding business easier and faster.
