iPhone 15 price ‘leaked’ online – millions of Apple fans will be affected

APPLE fans are getting ready for the new iPhone range, which will hit stores later this year.

Although the launch is still months away, rumors are circulating online.

The launch is expected to land in September, as per Apple’s usual release schedule.

But a Forbes reporter has picked up an alleged “leak” about popular Chinese messenger app Weibo.

According to the alleged leak, the standard and plus variants of the iPhone 15 will adopt the dynamic island and triple camera spread.

The so-called Dynamic Island can display notifications for Apple Pay transactions, low battery warnings, AirDrop transfers and privacy indicators

But the biggest potential glimpse of Apple’s upcoming line-up is cost.

The most basic model is said to start at $799, with the Pro model at $1,099.

The leaker has also predicted that the Plus will start at $899 and the iPhone 15 Ultra will start at a staggering $1,199.

Beyond the iPhones, Apple fans are looking forward to the release of the new AirPod models.

While the tech company has been notoriously tight-lipped on the details, some vigilant analysts are expecting big price moves.

The new range is expected to hit stores in the second half of next year — or early 2025.

Apple’s supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said the company is likely targeting a price of $99 for its second-generation AirPods — its lowest price yet.

The cost would be a big upgrade from its current price of $129.

Analyst Jeff Pu has also predicted that the AirPods will undergo a price cut in the upcoming lineup.

Pu expects two key products from Apple in 2024, including the lower-priced AirPods and the first Apple Watch with a micro-LED display.

If the rumors are true, the cheaper earbuds, which Pu dubbed “AirPods Lite,” could be Apple’s attempt to keep up with the competition.

The economic situation is tweaking the wallets of many people.
