iPhone, Android and Google users each warned of more than MILLION passwords being hacked

EXPERTS has issued a stark warning against easy-to-guess passwords used by too many people online.
Effective passwords to prevent hackers from hacking people’s accounts has never been more important.
Over 100,000 breached passwords were analyzed to find the most popular passwords.
That is except for the usual bans, ‘qwerty’ and ‘123456’.
Turns out the biggest offenders are pet names or beloved terms, with more than 4,000 people using them.
This can be especially risky for owners who enjoy sharing photos of their dogs and cats on social media, making it easy for hackers to guess.
The top three pet names used in passwords around the world are ‘Love’, ‘Baby’ and ‘Angel’.
Study author Dojo said: “While you may often use pet names to refer to your closest and dearest people, it’s probably not the best idea to use endearing words. this common for your password.
“It makes it easier for hackers to guess and access your personal information.”
Generic names are closely followed at just over 3,900, as are animals at 2,100.
Apparently passwords named ‘Sam’, ‘Anna’ and ‘Alex’ are among the most common to be hacked.
Emotions and food also made it to the top 5 overall.
Meanwhile, below the list at number 12 are brands, with the likes of Apple, LinkedIn and Google being used too often.
The UK’s National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) recommends that users create a password containing three random words, rather than something overly complicated.
This is because the length and novelty make it much harder for hackers to crack.
It is also recommended that you use a password manager, while iPhone users can take advantage iCloud Keychain.
