IRELAND has three new millionaires after last night’s EuroMillions special attracted two players in Cork and one in Galway each earning 1 million euros.

Among the life changing prizes won in Friday night’s EuroMillions draw, another player from Co Waterford took home the EuroMillions Plus game top prize of €500,000.

The National Lottery has confirmed that a notification to users’ online accounts and a separate email have now been sent to lucky Waterford ticket holders alerting them to their big win.
A spokesperson for the National Lottery has now urged all EuroMillions players in Ireland to check their tickets to ensure they don’t miss out on any major prizes following Friday night’s special draw.
They said: “This is a great result for our players.
“Out of 100 guaranteed prizes of €1 million across the entire EuroMillions community, players in Ireland have won not one, but three of the €1 million prize pool up for grabs!

“In total, we had over 85,000 winners in last night’s EuroMillions and Plus games, so we encourage all in-store and online players to check tickets carefully.
“In addition to the three brand new millionaires in Cork and Galway, another Waterford player will be 500,000 euros richer after they win the top prize in the EuroMillions Plus game.”
The National Lottery has also confirmed that the three winning sales locations of the 1 million euro lottery in Cork and Galway are all retail and that they will be announced in the coming days.
