Ireland weather forecast: Met Éireann forecast summer weather ahead of big changes next weekend in Ireland

Today will be a mostly dry day with sunny intervals as temperatures reach the mid-teens ahead of a mild week.

et Éireann forecast the weather to remain stable for the rest of the week as high pressure remains close to Ireland. It will feel mild where sunny spells develop but get chilly at night.

A few light showers developing throughout the day today with highs of 11C to 16C, mildest in the west and coolest in the east, with light to moderate easterly winds.

Tonight it will be mostly dry and clear again, apart from a few showers, with a light easterly or changing breeze there will also be haze and fog in places.

Overnight will be quite cold with lows between 0°C and 4°C in general, although locally it can be slightly colder in the Midlands, with touches of grass frost.

Tuesday will be mostly dry and bright with long periods of sunshine. However, scattered showers will develop throughout the day with highs of 12C to 15C with a light to moderate easterly breeze.

Tuesday will be another mostly dry night with clear spells and only one or two persistent showers.

It will be quite chilly with lows between 3ºC and 6ºC with a light easterly breeze and a few patches of fog will develop overnight.

Wednesday morning will be mostly dry and bright with sunny spells. It will become cloudier as the day progresses with good isolated showers.

Wednesday’s highest temperatures will range from 10C in the east to 15C in the west with light to moderate easterly winds.

On Wednesday evening it will be dry with clear periods and occasional fog and patches of fog developing with lowest temperatures between 1°C and 5°C with a light breeze.

Thursday will be a little cloudier but will remain mostly dry with only scattered light showers and highs between 11C and 15C with light winds.

It will be dry overnight with clear periods and light winds with lowest temperatures of 2°C to 6°C.

Current indications are that Friday will be dry with sunny intervals for most of the day, although clouds will form later from the west with highs of 12C to 16C with a light, variable breeze.
