A RYANAIR passenger has revealed how to save on paying for luggage – and people are stunned by her brilliant tip.

TikTok user Nicole Baskerville shared a video describing her hack to avoid paying the additional baggage fee when flying the popular Irish airline.

Nicole shared how she discovered her genius trick while flying to Birmingham.

The travel enthusiast said: “You know Ryanair now has to pay for extra baggage and you literally just get a free handbag. Well, that’s your purse.”

She unveiled a red Minnie Mouse suitcase packed with her belongings.

She said: “I got this at Penneys and it’s a kid’s suitcase. It’s the smallest I could find.

Nicole said: “And it fits in the compartment, it fits under the seat. And voila – it fits so much.

“I have a jacket. i have heels I have some clothes. I have all my toiletries. It’s actually massive.

“I felt like I had a suitcase full of clothes… and this is my purse.”

She continued, “I have this in Penneys. It’s a Minnie Mouse suitcase, so it was €35, but there wasn’t another suitcase that was smaller.”

On Ryanair flights, two priority carry-on bags cost between €8 and €30 when booked online.

A 10kg check-in bag costs between €12.99 and €23.99 if booked in advance.

If charged at the airport, it can cost €23.99 – €35.99.

She started booking her flights as usual, entering the location, dates and number of passengers.

The app then gave her the option to add priority boarding, one carry-on bag and one 10kg bag, which cost her €21 per person per trip.

The final total was €192.76. However, instead of going to the app’s payments section, she opted for the airline’s Value fare instead of the regular fare advertised by the app.

The value fare includes a small carry-on bag, while the regular fare includes priority boarding and two carry-on bags.
