Is Fortnite down?

On January 13, 2022, the Fortnite Status tweeted: “We are investigating login issues in Fortnite.

“We’ll update you when the issue is resolved.”

Issues have affected players attempting to participate in Winterfest 2021.

The problems started the night before and continued into the morning.

Users reported that they were unable to connect to Fortnite servers and encountered unexpected errors when logging in.

When does Fortnite stop working?

Fortnite was reported to be down on December 29, 2021.

According to Downdetector, users have reported problems with server connectivity and logins. The issue started happening in the US around 10:40 a.m. EST.

Some users reported that they got the error message “you do not have permission to play Fortnite”.

Gamers took to Twitter to discuss the Fortnite outage and servers down.

Fortnite commented on the outage saying, “We’re investigating login issues, matchmaking, and other issues. We’ll update you when the issue is resolved.”

On December 14, users had problems with the game before a new update was available.

The developers, Epic Games, said they turned off matchmaking ahead of the upcoming v19.01 update.

On its server status page, it notes that almost all parts of Fortnite are “under maintenance”.

This includes game services for item shops and leaderboards.

On December 14, the game services, login, matchmaking and more were under maintenance as the company rolled out update v19.01.

It was the first major update to Fortnite Chapter Three.

It will likely add some new items and NPCs to the game’s annual seasonal WinterFest event.

Previously inaccessible to fans as it prepares for the launch of the new season.

On Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 1pm PT / 3pm CT / 4pm ET / 9pm GMT, players join Fortnite live “End” incident.

The event is a one-time trade so if you miss it, there is no way to play after the event is over.
