The islanders got a taste of parenthood in the latest Love Island challenge where each couple was assigned a baby to care for for the day.

At the top of the baby challenge on Wednesday night’s episode, Danica Taylor and Jamie Allen found themselves removed from the island after losing a public vote.

After the fellow islanders left, the five remaining couples awoke to the sound of their babies crying and each was assigned a newcomer to take care of them.

Upon discovering the lifelike dolls, Tasha Ghouri despaired, saying: “This is my nightmare, I actually woke up from a nightmare.”

Gemma Owen added: “My ears are ringing!”

Dami Hope, who is currently collaborating with Indiyah Pollack, has taken a more positive approach to the experience, saying: “I feel very attached. I feel like my experience here is 10 times better.”

Indiyah added: “Dami did a great job, such a good father. Honestly I couldn’t ask for a better father.”

Andrew Le Page, who has cared for baby Leo with partner Tasha, also settling into parenthood, said: “Leo is my best partner and I have had a good relationship with him. “.

Later in the episode, the girls are treated to a mother’s day out with the rest of the boys to take care of dad’s daycare.

While their partner was away, the boys prepared some homemade baby food for the new arrivals on their own.

Davide Sanclimenti is particularly impressed with her cooking skills for young children. Speaking in a beach hut with his daughter Irene, he said: “When I feed her, she doesn’t cry. She is like me, if you give me I am happy. So if I give her food, she’s happy.”
