“It’s a shame that there is still a need after such a long time” – Brother Kevin says goodbye to the Kapuziner day center that was founded 53 years ago

At the age of 87, Br Kevin Crowley will retire from Dublin’s Capuchin Day Centre, which has helped generations of homeless people and families affected by rising poverty and drug addiction.

His only regret is that more than 50 years after its founding in 1969, the center is still needed to help around 50 men he regularly saw eating out of trash cans on the city streets.
