It’s hunting time in Black Desert Online, with the latest update bringing Odyllita Part 2 and rare animals

O’dyllita part 2 begins Black desert online‘s latest update, which also brings new hunting grounds and rewards, improved pet looting, several new creatures, combat quality of life updates, and class changes.

The update expands the content available in the game and follows previously announced improvements such as visual improvements of NPCs and clarifications on some skills or commands. Much of the rest of this update is hunting related. The main quest for O’dyllita part 2 is now available and the hunt is in play.

There are also UI changes that will help players with clearer communication and accuracy. A key change here includes on-screen decision effects, like the addition of “miss” that displays when your attacks miss, letting you know when you’re missing, hitting, or dodging. This can help you improve your tactics when you need a little help knowing what you did. You can also toggle this on or off. All characters below level 20 will be revived with full health and skills in the skill guide will now be displayed based on attack skills.

Pearl Abyss has also moved several skills that used to be learned between level 2 and 6 to be available with the new hunt quests and once you complete the main quest line you can access 3 daily hunt quests and new hunt actions. Hunting also comes with its own set of rewards, including furniture and crafting resources.

To go along with the new hunting updates, there are also new creatures including new rare creatures, hunting monsters like direwolf or grass rhino, and for hunting boss monsters of the same type that offer more of a challenge. Some of the other creatures featured in the update are the [Enchanting] Rainbow Fox and the Cursed]Stone Cobra. As you get to know the hunters, you can learn about these rare animals, catch them, and earn knowledge and titles.

Pet looting has also been improved, so your pet doesn’t necessarily have to follow you when you move and can still collect your loot first. Using pet skills also doesn’t affect loot gathering.
