If the failure of Mitie’s management is attributed to the rude behavior of employees, the only option is to terminate the contract with Mitie with immediate effect.
It is true that migrants who have no legal basis to stay in this country should be eliminated. It would be wrong if the people doing the takedown were to make racist disgusting jokes about them.
Those who have endured the long, painful and sometimes dangerous journeys to our shores will be bitterly disappointed when they are brought home once more.
But they deserve to be treated with dignity and respect at every point in the process. And it would add insult to perceived injury when it was discovered they had also been the subject of racist WhatsApp posts.

So it is true that the Home Office is investigating these messages and that Mitie, the company responsible for repatriation flights and detention centers, has suspended staff.
Some abuses have even been directed at Diane Abbott and Priti Patel. That is also completely unacceptable. But Ms. Patel needs to understand her department and the outsourcing companies that work for it.
The Tories are too interested in doing business the way of private companies that they are friendly rather than hiring internal staff whose direct manager will be the Government.
After the Home Secretary’s disastrous handling of Channel crossings, this is yet another example of her lack of control.
Ms. Patel should now leave this investigation in the hands of the independent Chief Inspector of Borders and Immigration.
In a horrible case like this, nothing more than complete transparency will do. And if the failure of Mitie’s management is to be attributed to rude employee behavior, there is only one option left. Termination of contract with Mitie effective immediately.
The confrontation with Ukraine is now like a game of cockfights – scoring against Russia and NATO. And what’s even more frightening is that neither side shows any sign of turning to dodge.
If Vladimir Putin doesn’t invade his neighbor – which he says he won’t – then he will be pleased to make Joe Biden and Boris Johnson look like fools for saying he would.
If the Russian President does not live up to his word and dispatch his troops across the border, Europe could fall into years of bloodshed.
Either way, we should know the results this week. But peace is too precious to play the power game. And if Mr. Putin chooses not to invade, he could simply leave his forces in place and let the stalemate drag on.
At the Munich Security Summit today, Mr Johnson said he was ready to work with Mr Putin to demonstrate that NATO is not an aggressive alliance but a defensive one.
It was a welcome olive branch after all the Prime Minister’s war-like talk.
Mr. Putin should embrace it. It’s better for world leaders to come on top together than to bang their heads against each other.
