ITV Coronation Street star slams Jedward anti-King Charles message in adult shouting

itv Coronation Street Star Charlie Lawson launched an adult tirade against Jedward after the pair aired following a series of controversial tweets death of the queen.

The actor, who portrayed Jim McDonald in the soap, was among thousands who hit back at the pop twins after their controversial tweets.

The duo, who rose to fame with ‘The X Factor’ and have twice represented Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest, have called for the abolition of the monarchy.

They said: “Abolish the monarchy and give the people real democracy!”

He then added: “King Charles should return the six Irish counties on his visit to Northern Ireland – No war! Just words! It’s time.”

They have since shared a picture that read “NOT MY KING” with the caption “Freedom of Speech.”

The tweets sparked a backlash on social media, with the Corries actor being one of them.

Lawson said, “Shut up you two t****!!”

Another social media user added: “Well obviously. At this point, it feels a bit like you’re just using what the latest event is for likes. That statement would mean something if you were British, but you’re not, everyone knows he’s not your king.”
