ITV I’m A Celeb’s Mike Tindall tells the hilarious story of Princess Anne

The former England rugby player, 44, married British Olympian and 20th in line to the throne, 41, Zara (née Phillips) in July 2011.

Tindall opened up to his roommate, the comedian Sean Walshin the Monday episode of the hit ITV reality series.

Speaking to the comic, Mike said: “I love a suit. My problem with suits is that I overdo dancing at weddings…I tear up a lot of suits, pants and stuff.”

Walsh, 36, replied: “Of course you do.”

The rugby player continued: “The old bitch drop gets me every time. I went to a wedding, ripped a suit, they said, ‘Oh my god, what are you gonna do?’

“I said, ‘Don’t worry, I have a backup.’ They said, ‘Who’s bringing a spare suit?’ Someone who rips a lot of pants brings a spare suit.”

Tindall added: “Zara had about a 30th birthday, it was a 70’s disco theme, I was dancing on the dance floor, I was wearing bell bottoms, full outfit but it was quite tight, nothing fitted – the bum and the legs a rugby player – So I danced with my mother-in-law and did a slut drop in front of my mother-in-law.”

Walsh later spoke privately to the Bush Telegraph, sharing, “The Mike bitch fell before Princess Anne and that’s not the end of the story.”

Mike’s embarrassment didn’t end there as the rugby player continued the harrowing story.

He said: “My pants tore right in front of her. It was like the boxers I was wearing at the time said, ‘Chew my nuts’.”

Walsh and fellow comedian Babatunde Aleshe couldn’t help but laugh at Tindall’s revelation and applauded him for the amusing story.

Concluding the story, Tindall explained how the Princess Royal reacted: “When I turned around, she was gone, ‘I’d rather not.’ I’m gone, ‘I’m going’ and I’m gone.”

Walsh continued in the Bush Telegraph: “What a legend. Absolute legend. I would like to go to a party with Mike.”

I’m A Celeb viewers took to social media to share their thoughts on the story.

One fan wrote: “I feel like at every royal gathering Mike Tindall is just the life of the party.

A second user wrote: “Princess Anne replying ‘I’d rather not’ is so typical of her.”

A third person added: “Well the story of Mike Tindall’s slut dropping and ripping his pants in front of the Princess Royal really perked me up.”

A fourth viewer said, alongside a clapping emoji: “Mike Tindal story of the year.”
