However, after reading the comments the mum said she was still considering using the names, especially William.
The mum wrote: “Still debating William – I really adore the timeless feel of it as a first name so it was top of my list, but if most William’s still get teased with “Willy”, it might not be worth the risk.”
One user reassured the mum, saying: “William is such a common name that I can’t imagine ‘haha willy’ can be that much of an issue.”
“I have a William and have never made this connection. John Thomas maybe, but it’s old school. I wouldn’t worry about it. These are fine, classic names.” Wrote another person.
