A PENSIONER draws attention after transforming his mobility scooter into a Lambretta look-alike.
Terry Heath, 68, outfitted his four-wheeler with mirrors, lights and flags straight out of the 1979 mod flick Quadrophenia.
The great-grandfather claims he drives women crazy when he rides to the bookies.
The retired diamond toolmaker said: “I had two young women in their 30s who approached me – one of them kissed me on the cheek and told me it was a baby magnet.”
“It brings me tremendous joy, and it clearly brings great joy to other people, too.”
Now even his buddies at the betting shop are trying to get some of the attention.
Terry said: “Everyone here loves it too.
“They see the looks I get and they always ask if they can try.”
The former mod spent £1,000 to customize the Kymco Midi, including a chrome stand and a “WHO RU” plate, a nod to the 1978 Who album.
But Ms Beverley, 67, is less keen on his scooter, which can reach 8mph.
Terry, from Birmingham, said: “She’s not happy with how much I spent on it.
“She says she’s scared to death of that thing.”
