He had booked the trip of a lifetime to Disney World for himself and his loved ones in January 2020 but due to travel restrictions they were unable to go.

Brits were banned from visiting the United States during the height of the pandemic.

First, the family were offered vouchers to rebook for the following year, which they accepted.

But Michael realized the price of the vacation had skyrocketed as the resorts celebrated Walt Disney World’s 25th anniversary during their postponed dates.

Rather than blowing his travel budget, the disappointed Worcester father asked British Airways for a refund in July last year.

But nearly three years after booking the trip, BA still hasn’t reimbursed him for his flights.

Michael says he hasn’t been able to take his family on holiday this year – although there are no travel restrictions – as he can’t afford it until he gets his money back.

The frustrated father told The Telegraph: “We were first offered vouchers to rebook for the following year, which we did.

“But we asked for a refund in July 2021 as the resort was celebrating the 25th anniversary of Walt Disney World and it was more expensive to stay there.

“But after almost 10 months – nothing,” he fumed.

“Trying to find someone to talk to was like banging my head against a brick wall.”

A spokesman for BA apologized for the delays in getting the refund and said it had now “made” the payment for Michael.

Over 4,000 BA customers submitted complaints about the airline to the independent complaints handler Resolver last year.

A number of disgruntled customers have said they too have been waiting for refunds for more than a year.

The renowned airline has so far spent a whopping £4million on canceled flights as the pandemic wreaked havoc on travel.

Also, three million vouchers have been distributed to travelers to use on future trips.
