Jackie Chan has been accused of helping to normalize the Syrian regime after using the Damascus suburb bombed by Bashar al-Assad as the setting for a Chinese propaganda film.

Fared al-Mahool, a Syrian journalist, said: “The Chinese company and Jackie Chan… only care about money and have no respect for the Syrians who have lost their homes, cities and everything.”
Jackie Chan’s office did not respond to questions about the amount paid to the Assad regime for access to the film.
