Jacqueline Jossa is unrecognizable as Frozen’s Elsa for All Star Musicals

Jacqueline Jossa, 29, portrays the Disney Princess in first look pictures of the new series of ITV’s All Star Musicals which will be aired on April 3

Jacqueline Jossa seems worlds away from Albert Square as she transforms into Frozen’s Elsa for ITV’s All Star Musicals.

In first-look pictures for the new series, which will air on April 3, the former EastEnders actress, 29, portrays the Disney Princess while donning a peroxide blonde wig and sparkly blue dress for her performance.

Jacqueline will compete against Good Morning’s Brit Alex Beresford and Wildlife presenter Michaela Strachan.

Coronation Street star Lisa George, rugby player Danny Care and actor Colin Salmon will also attend.

Jacqueline, who runs her own music theater school, appears in her element in the images, singing to the heart of her soul with her long blonde braid cascading down over her shoulders.

Speaking of taking part in the show, Jacqueline said: “I’m so excited to be taking part in All Star Musicals, it’s exciting and it’s scary and I can’t wait to tackle a musical number that everyone knows and loves. My girls will love to see me on this stage.”

Catherine Tyldesley won last year’s Christmas edition and wowed the three judges – Elaine Paige OBE, Samantha Barks and Trevor Dion Nicholas – with her performance of “Memory from Cats” which left Elaine in tears.

The 38-year-old actress admitted it was a life-changing experience for her.

At the time, she said: “Thank you so much and thank you everyone. Everyone worked so hard so this is for everyone. The lessons Elaine gave me will stay with me forever.”

ITV has also confirmed that John Barrowman will return to once again host the show.

Meanwhile, weather presenter Alex, 41, revealed he was looking forward to “challenging” himself.

“There’s a fine line between panic and excitement, but I can’t wait to challenge myself and feel the thrill of performing a musical number in front of an audience. The acoustics in my shower are very nice,” he said.

Dressed in a period gray suit, Alex will take to the stage to perform a song from the Broadway musical Hamilton.

Michaela added, “As a wildlife presenter, it’s not often that I get the chance to trade in my hiking boots and outdoor gear for something glittery. I’m trying to do something I haven’t done in over 30 years, spoiler alert, it’s not the can.”

Each of the six stars is supported by a West End ensemble as well as a live orchestra.

John will be joined by Elaine, Samantha and Trevor to open the show with a performance by Grease, while the stars will perform a hit from The Phantom of the Opera, celebrating their 35th anniversary in the West End.

All Star Musicals airs on 3 April at 19:30 on ITV and the ITV Hub.
