Jada Pinkett Smith has been seen for the first time since her husband Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars.

The 50-year-old Matrix actress looked incredible in a gold strapless dress while attending a red carpet event in Los Angeles.

She complemented her super glam look with gold earrings and a slick of red lipstick.

The Red Table Talk host was there to support Bridgerton producer Shonda Rhimes’ latest venture, the opening of The Rhimes Performing Arts Center.

It includes five dance studios for students eight years and older, one of which is named after Jada and Will Smith.

Following the aftermath of husband Will’s Oscar slap, Jada has remained silent on the incident so far.

The only time she’s hinted at it was when she posted a quote on Instagram in late March that simply said, “This is a time of healing and that’s what I’m here for.”

Will was banned from the Oscars for 10 years after he stormed onto the stage during a live broadcast and punched presenter Chris.

He jumped out of his seat after the comedian made a joke about Jada’s shaved head hairstyle and referred to her as “GI Jane”.

This didn’t sit well with Will as Jada recently revealed that she suffers from alopecia.

Jada’s red carpet appearance comes days after an old clip resurfaced of Jada saying she never wanted to marry Will.

She recalled “crying down the friggin’ aisle” as she tied the knot with her husband of 24.

And said she only went ahead with the wedding because she was pregnant with her and Will’s eldest child jaden .

Jada and Will were married in a secret ceremony on New Year’s Day 1997 at the Cloisters, a medieval-style mansion near Baltimore, near where Jada grew up.

Although her big day seemed to go smoothly, it was described as “terrible” as Jada was three months pregnant at the time.

Jada confessed: “I was so upset that I had to get married. I was so pissed off. I walked down the damn aisle crying. I cried the whole way.”

Explaining her feelings at the time, the actress added, “I didn’t want to get married and now Gammys [her mother] I ran to Will and cried because I don’t want to get married.

“Now I’m being forced into a wedding when all I really wanted was for the two of us to be together [her and Will] on a mountain.”

But it seems everything worked out fine in the end as Will and Jada are still going strong.

They share son Jaden, 23, and daughter Willow, 21. While Will has an older son, Trey, 29, from his first marriage to actress Sheree Zampino.
