Jake-Paul want Canelo Alvarez to be his opponent in the last fight of his boxing career.

Paul has repeatedly called for a fight with pound-for-pound king Alvarez despite only having five professional fights under his belt. The Mexican, who is promoted to light heavyweight for his duel with Dmitry Bivol in May, has downplayed Paul’s stakes.

The YouTube star has insisted his efforts in the fight against Alvarez are serious, despite being mocked for calling it out. Paul admitted he wouldn’t be able to beat Alvarez with the amount of experience he has now, but that might be different after five or six more fights.

Jake Paul is undefeated in five pro fights

“I would take the fight, right now I couldn’t beat Canelo, five fights from now or six fights from now, I could have a freaking great fight and we’ll see what happens,” he said The trip. “I want Canelo to be my last fight, it could happen in three or four years, but it just makes sense, the two biggest names, the two highest paid boxers in the sport, why not?”

Alvarez originally dismissed Paul’s move from YouTube to boxing, but later backtracked on his comments by suggesting the new audience Paul brings with him could be good for the sport. Paul has admitted he has respect for Alvarez and believes the pair could have been friends in another life.

The 25-year-old believes he could fight Alvarez better than some of his previous opponents. As an example, Paul pointed to Alvarez’s fight with Avni Yildrim last year, who surrendered after three rounds.
