Floyd Mayweather boasts he made $100 million for ‘fake fight’

Jake Paul fears that “broke” Floyd Mayweather will never pay his brother Logan’s fight fund after their exhibition match.

The YouTube stars have made their mark in boxing as Logan has shared the ring with the boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition last June. Paul was expected to earn around $15 million from the lucrative showcase, but has since claimed he has yet to receive the full amount from Mayweather.

Rising star Jake has claimed his brother may never receive the money with other people reportedly standing in line to collect proceeds from Mayweather. “Not yet,” Paul replied FightHubTV when asked if his brother Logan had received his battle bag. “Floyd Mayweather is broke. This is not clear to many people. He gets these big checks and he doesn’t pay taxes on them.

“Then the IRS will go after him later. He owes money to a lot of people I know. Logan is at the bottom of that list. So I don’t know if Logan will ever get paid. * high!”

Logan has claimed that Mayweather has yet to pay him his full balance and branded his former ring rival a “rat”. He later doubled the claims and threatened to sue Mayweather if he doesn’t get his money. However, Mayweather has since issued a response claiming that payments for a fight are “awaited” and that he has received many from his fighting career.

“It comes with territory,” Mayweather said The Pivot Podcast . “It’s real money to them, and I like the YouTubers. However, the money in the backend, from pay-per-view, takes a while. Nothing comes immediately.

“I’m still collecting checks from fights seven or eight years ago. They just hate it when the tables are turned. Be happy with the biggest payday you ever got in your life.”

Mayweather is expected to have made around $65 million from the gathering after the event sold a million pay-per-views worldwide. Boxing legend Jeff’s own uncle now even has moved to tell his nephew to pay the full purse to Paul, who has not mentioned any further action since his original complaint.

He will now on to his next exhibition against former undefeated boxer Don Moore, which will take place on a helipad at the posh Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai. Mayweather has since boasted he could earn up to $100 million for his next event by “milking” his boxing success.

“I was able to leave boxing on my own terms and now the boxing critics are upset that I’m still able to milk and hone the sport of boxing by throwing exhibitions,” Mayweather said during an interview with fight hype. “Sixteen minutes and I’m able to get eight and nine digit numbers from the fruits of my labor.”
