Jake Tapper torches Kayleigh McEnany over Tucker Carlson Hour gig

CNN’s Jake Tapper issued a glowing reminiscence for Kayleigh McEnany after the matter-of-factly challenged former Trump White House press secretary announced that she will guest host Tucker Carlson’s old 8 p.m. time slot on Fox News next week.
McEnany is “one of the biggest spreaders of post-election lies that have cost the network just $787.5 million,” Tapper tweeted Thursday. He shared a December 2020 post by McEnany in which he falsely claimed the “odds of Biden Pennsylvania, Michigan, George, Wisconsin winning independently after @realDonaldTrump’s early lead is less than one in a trillion.”
McEnany appeared regularly on Fox during the Trump era. She joined the network as an on-air contributor in February 2021 and was named co-host of the daytime show Outnumbered a month later.
McEnany follows Brian Kilmeade and Lawrence Jones as the third guest host of the prime-time spot, which was occupied by Carlson until last week, when he was reportedly fired for reasons still unknown.
In a preview of her limited term, McEnany promised “a great week.”
