James Bay leads UK chart race with ‘Leap’ – Billboard

James Bay can Leap won his second UK album chart crown, although he faces stiff competition from another British singer.

Bay topped the Official UK Albums Chart in 2015 with her debut Chaos and calmand his latest album, Leap (EMI), is in the pole position.

Meanwhile, Afrobeats’ standout Burna Boy could clinch his first UK Top 10 with Love, Damini (Atlantic), at number 5 on the midweek chart. Love, Damini is Burna Boy’s sixth studio album and follow-up to 2020 Twice higherpeaked at number 11 in his career.

US R&B artist Brent Faiyaz is on track to appear in the first Top 10 with Wasteland (Lost Kids), new to #6 on the chart, while Neil Young and Crazy Horse popped up at #7 with Grill (Reprise), a “lost” album was scrapped in 2001.
